The First Dual UK/Dutch Titled Drahthaar

At the 31st Internayional Dog Show at Rotterdam on 30-31 August 2008, Sh Ch Pauline II V Bockenhagen at Kimmax became the first ever Deutsch Drahthaar / GWP to gain joint titles in both the UK and Holland.
Although incredibly successful in the Show ring in UK and Holland, Pauline is also the only titled UK ‘Zuchtauglich’ Deutsch Drahthaar, having been trained in the UK but gaining the highest ever place of a UK dog at the Internationale Hegewald. In 2006 she was placed 27th out of 210 dogs at the Hegewald in Geseke, Germany.
Pauline is especially good in water, where she gained the maximum 12 points on the ‘Live Duck’ test at the Hegewald.
Pauline will be continuing with her field work as well as appearing in a number of other European shows to demonstrate that the principle of ‘Performance to the Standard’ followed by the VDD produces not only excellent working dogs, but ones where the VDD’s careful attention to conformation, coat and temperament set them apart as some of the best in Europe.
Hip Dysplasia Schemes in Drahthaars
All breeding stock under the VDD breeder regulations must be certified ‘HD Frei’ as one of the requirements of the pedigree being stamped suitable for breeding. X-Rays are submitted directly to the VDD Central Office who assess the plates and certificates with results are sent back to the breeder.

UK Drahthaar 27th at Hegewald 2006
Peter McCullough of Kimmax German Wirehaired Pointers, together with his 16 month old Deutsch Drahthaar, Pauline II v. Bockenhagen, gained 232 points and 27th place in a field of 203 dogs at the 73rd International Hegewald in, Geseke, Germany.
Pauline gained a maximum score in 9 of the 12 field categories and only dropped 1 [...]
